Artist Award Sponsorship 2026
Artists paint and create because they love what they do. But they also enjoy recognition for all the hours and work invested in perfecting their craft. During Georgia Color each artist chooses two paintings to place into competition during the show. Judges review the work and award prizes to recognize exemplary work. The coveted awards presented at our Artist Awards and Collectors Celebration (Oct 19) provide a source of pride to the artists but also help build resumes, build a clientele and jumpstart careers.

En plein air is a French expression that means “in the open air.” Defined by outdoor painting, plein air traditionally captures landscapes and locations using natural light. Plein art painting has been a popular practice for centuries and requires specific skills and techniques. Featured Artists will put brush to canvas, capturing the autumn light over the hills and vineyards and historic towns of Georgia bringing a fresh eye to the changing lights and colors, and a variety of styles that draw from the rich traditions of plein air painting.
